Week 2 Matchups

Well, week 1 was a high scoring affair the lowest combined point total was 46. Every game went over the point total by a lot. I went 5-1 in picks  last week, only slip up was Tacoma covering. 

-Tacoma @ Huntington Beach (-13.5) O/U 62.5

HBV started off S12 campaign with a bang, Detherage is still as good as it gets. Tacoma kept it competitive vs Dallas, but they fell short at the end, their offense showed a lot of potential in the loss. I expect HBV to continue playing at a high level and keep this a 2-score lead for most of the game.  

Prediction- HBV (-13.5)

-Dallas @ Detroit (-6.5) O/U 61.5

Dallas offense pick up right where they left off and I expect their offensive talents will cause headaches for every team. Detroit scored the most points and gave up the least a true dominant performance. This is game of the week, and I expect a back and forth affair that will come down to the 4th quarter.

Prediction - Detroit (-6.5)

-New Jersey @ Charlotte (-7.5) O/U 54.5

Charlotte had a solid showing week 1, Charlotte will go as far as Dotson takes them. New Jersey offense must outscore teams for they can have a chance at winning. I expect the Charlotte to produce another solid showing and keep NJ offense from gaining traction.

Prediction (-7.5)

-Tampa Bay @ Toronto (-11.5) O/U 51.5

Toronto offense showed big play potential and played solid defense. Tampa played Charlotte tough, and they showed they have the potential to compete for a wildcard spot. I expect a back-and-forth affair in the early stages in the game, but I expect Toronto to pull away late.

Prediction - Toronto (-11.5)

-New York (-2.5) @ Pittsburgh O/U 57.5

Both teams are coming off double digit losses vs tough foes. For one of these S11 playoff teams they are staring down an 0-2 start. I expect both Pit defense and NY offense to play better and this game will come down to which defense can force turnovers and give their QBs more opportunities to put points on the board.

Prediction - Pittsburgh (+2.5)

-St Louis @ Anchorage (-3.5) O/U 52.5

St. Louis match their last season win total with a victory over NJ last week. Anchorage had a tough match up and struggled to get going on offense and couldn't make no stops. Anchorage was a playoff team last season, so I expect them to perform better week 2 on both sides but I do expect St Louis to play them tough and show the league they are team you must be prepared for.
