TOP 35 PLAYERS FROM SEASON 10

by J Mack

As we gear up for S11, let’s take a look back on some of the top 35 players from season 10 with 8

honourable mentions. HBV leads the list with 8 players.

QB

Tyler Detherage - HBV

Jax James - TOR

James West - TB

H/M - Aaron Ike - NYM

QBs can make or break your team, and these QBS lit up the scoreboard and made defenses have a

long day at the office anytime they were on the field. Detherage lead the league with 40 TD passes

and lead his team to an undefeated regular season. James, the rookie gunslinger was first in

completion percentage, 3rd in passing yards and threw the fewest interceptions. The 3rd spot came

down to Ike or West. West gets the spot because he finished 2nd in TDS and yards and had a slightly

better completion percentage than Ike.

RB

Austin Wilson - TOR

Doc Boone - CHA

T'mare Jones - ARZ

H/M - Daven Brewer - TAC

These RB'S have been nightmares for opposing defenses and have made a couple players run from

tackling them. If Detherage didn’t exist, Wilson could be league's MVP. Almost 2000 total yards, 12

total TDs he was a man amongst boys. Boone was the most consistent part of charlotte's offense

outside of Vic. Jones, a first-round pick lived up to expectations with over 1600 total yards and 7 total

TDs.

WR

Ryan Davis - HBV

Calvin Nacua - NYM

Kai Kohko - TB

Keith Simmons - ANC

Zachariah Branch - NJ

H/M - Phoenix Jones - TOR

These group of wideouts were game changers, secondaries never had an off play with these guys on

the field. Davis led the league in receiving with over 1500 yards and 14 TDs. The rookie sensation

Nacua was not far behind with over 1300 yards and 11 TDs. Kohko only had 52 receptions, but his big

play ability was second to none averaging almost 23 yards per reception and 14 TDs. Simmons and

Branch round out the top 5. Branch averaged 22.4 per reception and Simmons had 9 TDs to his

name.

TE

Vic Dotson - CHA

Joe Beasley - TAC

Kenan Kurt - ANC

H/M - Darren Guadiana - NJ

Tight Ends are a QBS best friend, and that statement has never been truer with these

playmakers. Dotson led the league in receptions with 105 and added 11 TDs. Beasley was not far

behind with 95 receptions and 9 TDs. Kurt gets the slightest nod over Guadiana because he had 5

more receptions and 1 less drop. Like I mentioned the slightest nod.

D/E

Andre Krimm - TOR

Gronky Kong - HBV

Brendan Goshay - NYM

B'aad Omens - TB

Shabazz Holmes-Harris - CHA

H/M - Damien Chambers - ARZ

These monsters on the line can wreck a game plan. Krimm is a leading contender for DPOY of the

year, he led the league with 14.5 sacks. Kong led all lineman with 8 TFL, Goshay as a rookie put the

league on notice with 50 total tackles and 12 sacks. Omens had a nose for finding the ball, and

recovered 2 force fumbles and force 1. Holmes over Chambers came down to all-around

performance, Holmes had 41 tackles and 10.5 sacks while Chambers had 27 tackles and 13 sacks.

LB

Tirewire England - TAC

Yogi Barr - TOR

Tank Falco Jr - ARZ

Tee Knight - HBV

Mike Edwards - ANC

Dexter Jackson - NYM

H/M - Gina Buckly - HBV

QBS of the defense, sideline to sideline they can make an impact on every single play. League leader

tackling machine England had 155 tackles. Barr the heart and soul for Toronto was second in the

league with TFL with 11 to add to his 144 tackles. Falco Jr. and Edwards were turnover machines

Falco Jr force 3 turnovers, and Edwards force 3. Knight had 10 TFL to go along with 14 PD. Buckly

made a good case because she lived in the backfield as a LB with 6.5 sacks, but Jackson edged her

out because he had more tackles along with 3 force turnovers.

CB

Mykee Jackson - ARZ

Adam Leach - HBV

X Pac - HBV

Ethan McWells - NJ

Adam Lester - CHA

H/M - AJ Frost - ARZ

These corners have erased some of the best wideouts in the game and have cause QBS nightmares.

Jackson did a little bit of everything 68 tackles and 4 interceptions. Leach lead the league in

interceptions with 6 ints. X Pac lead the league with 30 PD. McWells and Lester rounds out the top 5,

both had over 70 tackles and 19 PDs.

S

Preston Dotson - HBV

Weezy Porter - DAL

Kenny Bombard - CHA

Jordan Vene - TB

Angel Flugel - PIT

H/M - Tommy Gunnz - NYM

Safeties are the most versatile players on the field most times and these players definitely showed

that. Dotson and Porter both deserve to be first team, hard to put one above the others. Dotson 106

tackles and 20 PD, Porter had 120 tackles and 3 ints. Bombard was a game wrecker 2 ints 2 force

fumbles and a fumble recovery. Vene led safeties with 122 tackles. Flugel had a stellar season with

104 tackles and 9 PD.
