Some Close Analysis..

by Brighton Grisby

Welp, the season is coming to a close and for all the USFA Fans, I hope that all of you have enjoyed all of the scenery just as much as I have. This season has been one of ups and downs for just about everyone. But I know one thing. There was joy from the beginning of the season to now. The season had a little bit of just about everything. We had upsets, surprise teams that no one thought would emerge as so, we had teams we thought would end up top tier disappoint. But all in all, this was a season of surprises. Today I will be breaking down some of the teams in the league. Try and see what went wrong or, for some teams, what went right. so without further ado, let's get on with it!

New Jersey Battalion | 4 Wins | 9 losses | Eliminated From Playoff Contention

Taking into consideration that the very next team is only a game ahead of them you would think that they wouldn't be done for the year but sadly they are. New Jersey really has a bright future under center with Zaire Augustus. He had a really decent year and season. He threw 19 passing touchdowns to only 8 Interceptions(Dots to the opps) I can tell you one thing that held both Zaire and his team back. The offensive line. Any time your quarterback has taken 40 sacks in only 13 games(averaged at 3 a game) Your team is NOT getting the job done. The running game could have been a bit better but overall wasn't that bad. The Battlaion's ability to put up points on the board was not an issue. The ability to get STOPS on defense was. Throughout 13 different games, they have given up 371 points(Can be averaged to 29 Points a game) You cannot effectively win games when you give up that many points. It's just not possible. They again do have a really bright future and I hope that next season we'll be talking about them being in the playoff picture and not eliminated.

Hot Team Alert!New York Mafia | 5 wins | 8 losses | Competing For Playoff Contention

As an analyst its my job to follow trends, and there is no bigger one then the New York Mafia. The Mafia went from a team that was looking ready to head into the offseason to being a team that has won 4 straight games and cannot be counted for the last spot of the playoffs. They are truly beating any and everybody. The just came off of a huge victory against the Charlotte Royals winning by 4 touchdowns, the biggest defeat the Royals have had all year. I like how this team is being lead. With 15 interceptions, Mafia Quarterback Aaron Ike doesn't ALWAYS make the best descsions under center, but he does when it counts. The good he does for the team outweighs the bad just like his 23 passing touchdowns outweigh the 15 picks. Follow the trend and watch New York closely in these next few weeks.

That's all the time I have today but I'll see you soon!
