DETROIT HELLHOUNDS @ HUNTINGTON BEACH VOYAGERS

1. PRESSURE ON FALCO

The Voyagers are a well rounded offense but the game of football is led by the QB. If Detroit can consistently add pressure and force #10 off of his square, that can lead to shorter drives and even some precarious positions where Falco can force some passes in this strong secondary.

2. MAKE SPECIAL TEAMS GREAT AGAIN

Its an angle of a football game that is often forgotten but keep in mind that long drives are possible, great punts inside of the 20 will have to force the offense to make plays in bunches to get points. Not only on the punting side of things, adding in FGs by way of Javon Gusto will make it easier to extend leads.

3. WATCH THE PLAYMAKERS AT ALL TIMES

HBV has three main guys to look out for: WR Carlton Banks, TE Vic Dotson & Former MVP HB Auston WIlson. If Detroit finds a way to slow 2-3 of these pieces down, it'll only make their chances of winning much easier in the long run. That goes back to the defensive front of Detroit to make it happen. LB Calvin Thomas and DE Damien Chambers need to do their part to make that a reality.

1. DON'T ALLOW THE DEEP PLAY

BEND BUT DON'T BREAK. It's a phrase that is used very often but teams have difficulty implementing it as often as they would like. You want as many drives as possible that are giving up three points or less as opposed to TDs. You also want the quick stops where you give up maybe one first down and give the offense as many opportunities as possible to be great.

2. KEEP THE DEFENSE OFF BALANCE

This HBV offense is built to take advantage of any look the defense presents with the amount of talent there. Get Vic on crossers. Send Carlton Deep. Keep the backfield of AW22 & The Big Dohg some touches. Continue to give the defense hell as you work your way down the field.

3. CONFUSE THE ROOKIE AT QB

QB Siro Thomas impressed the league gaining over 300 passing yards in his USFA Debut. While he has shown some greatness, there's still some weak points that was displayed. He's a little light footed in the pocket so interior pressure can lead to some chances for B-Dex, Weeler and Doom to make some plays and get Detroit off of the field.

This is a game that can go either way, talent all over the field and it'll be tough to choose who can become victorious. Detroit was in the United Bowl last season and if they want to make it a second straight trip, they'll need to perform big on the road. Huntington Beach is already considered one of the greatest teams in the history of the league but they want more chances to add to the trophy case. This is a big matchup on all scales. Detroit is the three point favorite due to their talent, I won't be surprised if this goes to overtime.
